Admission Eligibility
There are no prerequisities for the Restorative Dental Technology Program. To be eligible for entrance, you simply must meet the following requirement:
Graduated from a U.S. accredited high school, GED, or the equivalent with a 2.0 grade point average.
Selection Criteria
You will be selected to the program based on completion of all required documentation and space availability. Applicants will receive notification of their acceptance status via email.
In the event the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of seats available in the program, applicants will be randomly selected for entry. The selection process to determine who will be granted admission into the program adheres to all federal and applicable state laws.
The Department of Restorative Dentistry accepts applications on a year round basis. Admission is for the fall semester. Applicants are encouraged to follow the steps below for successful application:
How to Apply
1 Complete Your Application Packet
To apply to the Restorative Dental Technology you need to submit a complete application packet which includes:
- A completed Restorative Dental Technology Program Application.
- One official transcript of ALL U.S. colleges and universities attended, including
Pasadena City College*
*If you have foreign transcripts, please read our information on how to have your transcripts evaluated.
Be aware that unofficial transcripts and photocopies of diplomas are not acceptable, and incomplete applications will not be considered in the selection process. If you are accepted into the program, the college’s Records Office will also require transcripts.
2 Submit Your Application Packet
Submit your completed application packet and official transcripts, by emailing it to restorativedental@bagmakerblog.com . PCC transcripts may be unofficial. No copies or faxed applications will be accepted.
Emailing ensures the fastest processing of your application.
Program Acceptance
Applicants to the Restorative Dental Technology will receive written notification of their acceptance status as well as information regarding the next steps in the process within one week of application. Placement on the alternate list will guarantee acceptance for the following year.
Upon acceptance to the program, you are required to:
- Complete the application for admission to Pasadena City College. Apply Now.
- Return your Health Clearance to the Restorative Dental Technology Program Administrator. It should be completed and signed by a licensed physician and the PCC Student Health Services Office evidencing good health and fitness to participate in a Health Sciences Program of study. The Health Clearance includes evidence of required immunizations, chest x-ray or Mantoux test, indications of any allergies to nickel, monomer, latex, and polymer, and Hepatitis B vaccination or declination statement.(forms will be provided)
- Be prepared to provide your own transportation to off-campus clinical experience (internship) laboratory sites.
- A mandatory uniform (royal blue scrubs) is required during all lecture and laboratory sessions as well as during the off-campus clinical experience (internship). You will be required to purchase regulation scrubs from the designated vendor prior to Orientation Day and are to arrive in class wearing your scrubs during the Orientation Session. Instructions regarding purchase will be provided in the Orientation Letter emailed during the month of June.
- Regular attendance is mandatory. Dismissal will result if absences exceed College policy.

This program is designed to be completed in months.
This program will cost if completed within normal time. There may be additional costs for living expenses. These costs were accurate at the time of posting, but may have changed.
Of the students who completed this program within normal time, the typical graduate leaves with of debt.

This program has not passed standards established by the U.S. Department of Education. The Department based these standards on the amounts students borrow for enrollment in this program and their reported earnings. If in the future the program does not pass the standards, students who are then enrolled may not be able to use federal student grants or loans to pay for the program, and may have to find other ways, such as private loans, to pay for the program.
